CapRock Wins Five-Year Maritime C-band Deal in Greece

[Satellite TODAY 05-05-10] CapRock Communications has secured a five-year fleet contract with Diamlemos Shipping Corp. for nine C-band installations, CapRock announced May 4.
    CapRock will install its SeaAccess service onboard nine Diamlemos’ bulk carriers and oil tankers that require global coverage for multi-region trade routes and ongoing access to corporate networks.
    Setel Group, CapRock’s business partner in Greece, will support the contract by providing its Intelligent Vessel equipment, software and service package. CapRock’s SeaAccess service provides connectivity for Setel’s services through a turnkey VSAT solution as part of an information and communications technology solution package for maritime operations.
    Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
