Blue Sky Network Receives GPS Tracking Contract from Peruvian Oil Company

[Satellite TODAY 01-22-10] Blue Sky Network has been contracted to provide GPS-based aviation tracking devices to support the helicopter fleets of Pluspetrol, an oil and gas producer in Peru, Blue Sky Networks announced Jan. 21.
    Blue Sky’s D2000A unit is supported by Iridium service. Pluspetrol will use Blue Sky’s D2000A flyaway kit enable compatibility with its customer network and lower its expenses associated with purchasing flight trackers for each fleet the oil producer contracts with.
    The unit features short code messaging interface, a mayday button, a 12-hour battery life and an Ethernet port for connecting to any laptop or PDA.
