RigNet Names New Head of Strategic Business Development
[Satellite TODAY 09-07-09] RigNet Inc., a global provider of managed communications solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry, appointmented Richard Norton to the newly created position of manager of strategic business development, the company announced Sept. 4.
Norton will be focused on extending the company’s drilling rig communications and collaborative applications to new geographic markets. Norton also will be pursuing longer range business development projects, particularly in attractive overseas markets where RigNet is underpenetrated or has no presence, the company said.
Norton previously served at AT&T, DBS Microwave and in the U.S. Navy.
