Stratos to Provide MISC Berhad with Crew Communications Solution

[Satellite Today 06-02-09] Stratos Global Corp. has been selected by MISC Berhad to provide a customized crew-communications solution for MISC’s fleet of more than 100 merchant vessels, Stratos announced June 1.
    Stratos will deploy an MISC-branded version of its AmosConnect Crew communications solution, providing MISC crew members with communication cards that allow use of private email, SMS messaging and voice calling.
    “This project is the latest chapter in our successful 10-year relationship with Stratos. They quickly delivered a private-label, integrated crew-communications solution that is ideally suited to support our crew-retention program,” Effendi Nordin, MISC manager of brand implementation, said in a statement.
    Financial details of the order were not disclosed.
