[Satellite Today 02-18-09] Antenna Technology Communications Inc. (ACTi) will be offering its 3 cents-per-minute advanced cellular communications satellite systems to countries across the Middle East, Latin America and Africa in the second quarter of 2009, ACTi announced Feb. 17.
ATCi’s cellular and mobile solution, which handles voice and data backhaul traffic, aims to provide its service at a fraction of the cost of alternative solutions.
“[ATCi’s system] is becoming the system of choice for service providers insofar that it tackles all the critical requirements that cellular operators usually stress as critical issues such as availability, revenue growth, quality, reliability, and most importantly an operator’s return on investment is accomplished in a matter of months,” Gary Hatch, CEO of ATCi, said in a statement.
