CETel Extends Arabsat Cooperation

[Satellite Today 07-09-08] CETel has announced a contract with Arabsat following the launch of Arabsat’s BADR-6 satellite, CETel said July 9.
    CETel, a satellite communications service provider, has committed to half a transponder on the satellite, with the opportunity to take further capacity, if needed. Arabsat and CETel have built up a partnership with joint solutions comprising one- and two-way broadband Internet services for the Middle East and Africa and an offer of dedicated connections between the Middle East and Africa into the European feber backbone network for major communication carriers.
    “Combining CETel’s knowledge with Arabsat’s expertise and excellent satellite fleet encourages both sides to offer joint value-added services meeting the growing demands of the Middle East and African markets,” Guido Neumann, managing director of of CETel, said in a statement.
