SpaceConnection Signs Agreement With Telesat

[Satellite Today – 5-20-08] SpaceConnection signed a multi-year agreement with Telesat for the provision of occasional use satellite capacity on the Anik fleet of satellites, SpaceConnection announced May 20.
    The agreement will provide additional capacity for customers SpaceConnection acquired in the May acquisition of the occasional use satellite space segment services business of 5DTV.
    “By securing continued access to the Telesat fleet of satellites for our new Canadian customers we are well positioned to serve the needs of a growing market,” stated Mike Antonovich, president and CEO of SpaceConnection, said in a statement. “The Anik fleet provides vital communication services across Canada for a wide variety of clients and industries and is a key element of our business strategy.”
Financial details of the contract were not released.
