ASRC MS Signs Exclusive U.S. Distribution Deal For Indian Images

[Satellite Today – 1-29-08] ASRC Management Services signed an exclusive distribution deal with Antrix Corp. Ltd. and EOTec to distribute satellite imagery collected by the Resourcesat-1 and Cartosat-1 satellites in the United States, ASRC MS announced Jan. 28.
    ASRC MS also will become the sole ground station partner for Antrix in the United States to receive data collected over the country in near real time. The agreement marks the expansion of a three-year cooperative relationship which started in 2004 when ASRC MS began supporting the use and integration of imagery from Resourcesat-1 within the U.S. Department of Agriculture‘s Office of Global Analysis, Foreign Agricultural Services, and International Production Assessment Division.
    Resourcesat-1 was launched in 2003 and carries three multi-spectral cameras. Cartosat-1, launched into 2005, has a pair of panchromatic cameras that collect imagery with a ground resolution of 2.5 meters.
