RamTelecom Launches Broadband Network

[Satellite Today – 1-28-08] RamTelecom Inc. has launched its new broadband satellite network, Global-IP, the company announced Jan. 28.
    The network, which will meet the increasing IP telecommunication demands of large enterprise customers throughout North America, also will support the requirements for multiple VOIP, data and video conferencing applications.
    "The service is carrier-grade, offering the same high security and reliability as RamTelecom’s flagship Linkstar network," RamTelecom COO Gilles Desmarais, said in a statement. "The new network is ideally suited for large mining operations, oil and gas camps, and ISP services in northern communities. Service plans include fully dedicated or shared links in a private network environment employing quality of service, encryption and acceleration technologies."
