Odin Satellite To Extend Operations

[Satellite Today – 1-23-08] Swedish Space Corp. will control and operate the scientific satellite Odin for an additional year, the company announced Jan. 23.
    Odin, part of the European Space Agency‘s Third Party Mission program, was launched in 2001 for a two-year mission. Since the launch, Odin has delivered a large amount of data concerning the ozone layer depletion to scientists.
    Swedish Space Corp. will operate the satellite until Dec. 2008.
