EchoStar Names Olmstead President Of Satellite Services

[Satellite Today – 1-11-08] EchoStar Holding Co. has hired Dean Olmstead as president of satellite services, the company announced Jan. 10.
    Olmstead succeeds Michael Kelly, who will remain at Dish Network. Olmstead most recently worked as an advisor to Loral Space and Communications as well as serving as president of Arrowhead Global Solutions.
    Olmstead will report to Charlie Ergen, chairman and CEO of EchoStar Holding Corp., a newly listed company that recently was separated from EchoStar Communications Corp. and holds certain satellites, uplink and satellite transmission assets, and the digital set-top box business formerly held by EchoStar Communications.
