Shin Satellite Reaches 100,000 Subscribers

[1-2-2008 – Satellite Today] Shin Satellite has sold 100,000 user terminals for its IPStar satellite broadband service at the end of 2007, the company announced Jan. 2.
    The terminal consists of the satellite modem and antenna and is used to send and receive high-speed data via the Thaicom-4 (IPStar) satellite, which was placed into orbit in August 2005.
    Shin Satellite has been expanding its broadband satellite services throughout Asia in 2007, signing deals to move into Australia and Indonesia in November.
