[12-12-07 – Satellite Today] End II End Communications Inc. has been issued a patent to enable enterprise applications and virtual private networks to operate over broadband satellites at full speed, the company announced Dec. 12.
The patent, Systems and Methods of Broadband Network Optimization, covers a method of testing a wide area network to determine its performance, Todd Anderson, End II End’s CTO and one of the patent’s co-authors, said in a statement. Based on those tests, the system can modify network parameters of devices at a remote office to maximize network and enterprise application performance. The technology applies to all broadband platforms.
“Simply put, End II End’s patented optimization technology enable networks move data as fast as possible,” Anderson said. “Applications like Citrix, SAP, Exchange and Lotus Notes can now run at maximum speed over any broadband connection.”
