WildBlue Expands VPN Network Through Partnerships

[10-09-07 – Satellite Today]  WildBlue Enterprise Solutions has formed partnerships with UDcast, Xiplink and Trispen to provide expanded VPN networks for small to medium businesses, WildBlue announced Oct 9.

The UDcast case agreement will combine WildBlue with UDgateway, an integrated access gateway range designed to enhance IP network capabilities over satellite links and bring broadband-speed performance and functionalities to satellite broadband connections. "This agreement with WildBlue will help UDcast to grow in North America and worldwide and we are pleased to be working with them to make the feasibility of satellite for business use more accessible,”Antoine Clerget, vice president of engineering and co-founder of UDcast, said in a statement.

The agreements with XipLink and Trispen is intended to provide an end-to-end secure solution for business users of WildBlue Enterprise Solutions broadband Internet service. The accelerated VPN network will use the XipLink acceleration appliance along with WildBlue satellite equipment and integrated Trispen VPN software.

"The solution that WildBlue, XipLink and Trispen have put together allows us to offer a new capability to our [value-added resellers] and adds great value to the product they are able to offer their small and medium-sized business customers,”Dave Leonard, WildBlue’s CEO, said.
