[Via Satellite 11-28-2016] The Dynamic Spectrum Alliance has appointed former Via Satellite Satellite Executive of the Year (SEOTY) Kalpak Gude as the Alliance’s president. The Dynamic Spectrum Alliance has recently added 11 new members across four continents. Previous Executive Director H Nwana has become executive director emeritus and will remain a spokesperson for the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance.

“Kalpak’s deep and broad experience in government and the private sector means that he deeply understands the opportunities and challenges faced by spectrum policy makers, regulators and the industry around the world,” Paul Garnett, Dynamic Spectrum Alliance chairman of the board and director of Affordable Access Initiatives at Microsoft, said in a statement.

Gude has a strong satellite background having worked at Intelsat for over a decade. Recently, he has been working for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
