Kratos Chosen by South Asian Space Agency as TT&C Modem Provider

[Via Satellite 03-07-2016] The space agency of a large South Asia country has selected Kratos Defense & Security Solutions  for the sale of 15 Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) integrated baseband modems. Developed by RT Logic, a Kratos company, the modems will be used in ongoing operations to support existing and new satellites.

The modem was selected because of its modular chassis design, which makes it easily scalable to evolving requirements and its ability to support two satellites simultaneously while maintaining peak performance, reducing ground station footprints and operational expenses. It is field repairable, enabling operators and maintainers to service the modem using Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components.
