RSCC Transfers Traffic from Express AM22 to Express AM6 Satellite

      [Via Satellite 07-14-2015] Russian Satellite Communications Company, the state satellite operator of Russia, has successfully completed the transferring of the traffic load from its Express АМ22 satellite to the Express AM6 spacecraft at 53 degrees east. The company’s specialists are currently proceeding with translating the Express АМ22 from its 53 degrees east orbital position to 80.1 degrees east.

      The Express AM22 satellite is scheduled to start operations in the new orbital slot on Aug. 5, 2015. The satellite launched aboard a Proton rocket on Dec. 29, 2013 and provides communications services such as digital TV, telephony, videoconferencing, data transmission and broadband.
