CPI Awarded Multimillion Contract for Advanced Antenna Products

By Caleb Henry | May 6, 2015

[Via Satellite 05-06-2015] Communications and Power Industries (CPI) Malibu Division received a contract worth more than $3.5 million for dual-axis Ku-band ground and airborne data links, along with other equipment from a NATO country. The advanced data link antennas and ground data terminals will enable long-range Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions with a Mid-Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platform.

The UAV uses data link systems to send data and images to mission control. Likewise ground-based warfighters can transmit command and control data to the UAV. CPI plans to conduct the work for this multi-year contract in Camarillo, Calif.
