Comtech EF Data Customers Using O3b Networks HTS Capacity

[Via Satellite 03-03-2015] Customers of Comtech EF Data have begun using O3b Networks’ Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) High Throughput Satellite (HTS) system. The customers are using Comtech’s CDM-760 advanced high-speed trunking modem for fast, low latency services. According to Comtech EF Data, products currently deployed are facilitating mobile backhaul, high-speed trunking and premium enterprise services.
The company worked closely with the customers to optimize their network designs for when O3b Network’s services became available. Comtech EF Data has designed its products to be compatible with the recently completed satellite network.
