NovelSat Appoints David Rubner as Board Chairman

[Via Satellite 12-01-2014] NovelSat, a satellite transmission technology company, has named former ECI Communications CEO David Rubner as chairman of the company’s board of directors. Rubner led ECI Telecommunications, which provided telecommunications networking infrastructure solutions, from September 1991 to February 2000. He also serves on the boards of Check Point, RadWare and cVidya; is a general partner at the venture capital fund Hyperion Israel Advisors; and is Chairman and CEO of Rubner Technology Ventures.

“The satellite communications market is heating up with more bandwidth demand coming from remote cellular backhaul, offshore operations, developing regions and Ultra-HD TV broadcast,” said Itzik Wulkan, CEO of NovelSat. “David has the industry experience and product knowledge to help push the company forward both as a market and technology leader.”
