Malibu Division of CPI Awarded $6 Million in Order for Advanced Antennas

[Via Satellite 05-14-2014] The Malibu division of CPI was awarded $6 million in orders of advanced antenna products from an international customer. CPI will supply this customer with single-axis and dual-axis Ku-band ground and airborne data links for supporting multiple Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms.

The award funds a combination of auto-tracking capabilities from CPI’s ground data terminals combined with airborne advanced data link antennas to increase situational awareness for warfighters in the field.

“CPI Malibu Division and its international partners have worked together for a number of years, and we have seen firsthand the significant progress that they have made in providing UAV technology,” said Steve Lonngren, president of CPI Malibu Division. “We will continue to support our international customers as they develop and utilize UAV and [Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) technologies.”
