[Via Satellite 04-23-2014] In honor of Earth Day, celebrated on Tuesday, Northrop Grumman has set a new greenhouse gas emissions goal for 2020. The company plans to reduce its amount of emissions by 30 percent compared to where they stood in 2010. To accomplish this goal, Northrop Grumman’s environmental sustainability program will make greater use of alternative and renewable technology.

The company has also adhered to best management practices for solid waste generation and water use and says it is on track to achieve its targets in all these areas by the end of 2014.
