[8-27-07 - Satellite Today] DataPath Inc. was awarded a contract to provide field services to the U.S. Central Command hubs in Southwest Asia, the company announced Aug. 27.
DataPath will deploy 32 Ku-band terminals, and 69 DataPath field service representatives will provide operations and maintenance services for an initial six-month base period.
The contract, awarded under the Worldwide Satellite Systems program, carries an initial value of $7.8 million. The award provides for additional six-month awards that can be made throughout the following three years. If all options are exercised, the total value of the program could be more than $50 million.
