Sencore has been selected to supply its SMD 989 DVB-S/S2 modulator for broadcast video contribution and distribution feeds covering the upcoming G20 world economic forum in Mexico, the company announced June 20.
Sencore said the SMD 989 was supplied and installed by International Media Services, which holds the contract from the Mexican government for broadcast services for the G20 Mexico Summit.
“We have worked with Sencore on several projects, so we’re well-acquainted with the superior quality and reliability that is built into every Sencore product. When it came time to source broadcast equipment for the G20 Mexico Summit, Sencore's SMD 989 was an easy choice,” International Media Services Vice President Don Hughes said in a statement. “The SMD 989 is a reliable product that we know we can always count on. It’s extremely easy to install and bring online; you just set it once and leave it alone. And its support of advanced DVB-S2 modulation modes helps reduce transponder costs in any installation.”
