[Satellite TODAY 08-31-10] Technology and strategic consulting services and solutions provider SRA International has won a military task order under the U.S. General Services Administration’s mission-oriented business integrated services contract, SRA announced Aug. 30.
SRA will support the U.S. Air Force Space Command Directorate by performing studies of current and potentially future operational capabilities in support of Space Surveillance Network (SSN) force structure analyses — the integrated planning process and program objective memoranda. SRA also will provide technical support to operational studies, adjustments and tuning of the model's environment to meet formal verification and validation requirements, and integration of new and modified sensor models.
The task order, with an initial annual value of $1 million, is a follow-up to a contract completed by SRA for the U.S. military’s Space Surveillance Network Analysis Model.
“SRA will continue to leverage its highly skilled, specialized resources to help the Air Force ensure that the simulation environment and simulation based acquisition practices incorporate valid representations of space and missile operations,” SRA Senior Vice President Scott Large said in a statement.
