[Satellite Today – 2-18-08] Orbit has received Intelsat type approval for the OrSat Ku-band maritime stabilized antenna system, Orbit announced Feb. 18. The approval, along with the Eutelsat type approval Orbit received in 2007 means that the all-weather antenna can be used with Intelsat and Eutelsat equipment. "These type approvals from the leading satellite companies are a significant step forward for Orbit," Ehud Netzer, Orbit's CEO, said in a statement. "It demonstrates the uniqueness of the OrSat system and proves the capabilities, superiority and leadership of the Orbit's technology.”
