Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Washington Capitals NHL Game

Enjoy a night of hockey as the Washington Capitals take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in what promises to be one of the most exciting games of the 2008-2009 Capitals season! SATELLITE 2009 has secured discounted tickets to the game, which takes place just a couple of blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.


Tickets can be purchased with through the SATELLITE 2009 online registration system. Tickets are non-refundable and will be available at will call.

About the Verizon Center

Situated in the heart of Chinatown, Verizon Center is a sports and entertainment facility like no other. Since its grand opening on December 2, 1997, the Phonebooth has hosted a plethora of events including the Stanley Cup Finals.

Verizon Center serves as the home of the Washington Capitals, Wizards and the Mystics as well as the Georgetown Hoyas and other world-class entertainment events.

The Verizon Center is just a couple of blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. From the Mount Vernon Square entance of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, go South on 7th Street to F Street (approximately 3 blocks), then make a left onto F Street and you will see the entrance to the Verizon Center. The distance between the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and Verizon Center is approximately .3 miles.
