UDcast Expands DVB-H Mobile TV Technology Markets

UDcast signed a cooperative agreement with Zentek to provide the Japanese and Far East Asia markets with the international mobile TV standard, DVB-H, UDcast announced June 26.

Under the terms of the non-exclusive agreement, Zentek, which provides digital TV, Internet Protocol TV, wireless broadband, mobile phone and car entertainment device solutions, will act as the reseller and integrator of UDcast’s DVB-H mobile TV products.

In June, the companies announced a deal to provide a DVB-H solution for TV2Go, a digital mobile TV broadcasting trial operated by PGK Media in Singapore. Zentek is the main system integrator, while UDcast supplied the DVB-H network equipment. UDcast equipment also is deployed in commercial mobile TV networks in Vietnam and the Philippines and in more than 10 trials in the region.
