Iridium Touts ‘Test Your Satellite Phone’ Week

Coinciding with the U.S. National Weather Service’s National Hurricane Preparedness Week, Iridium Satellite LLC is promoting May 21-25 as "Test Your Satellite Phone" Week.
Similar to the popular biannual testing of smoke alarms, the goal of the promotion is to increase user knowledge and confirm that their satellite phones have access to communication services before an emergency arises.
Iridium subscribers may dial 00-1-480-752-5105 to test their phones free of charge. A recorded message will confirm call completion and offer tips on proper handset usage. Any customer discovering that his phone is inoperable may contact an Iridium service provider for help.
