JAXA Sets Launch Date For SELENE Satellite

      The Selonological and Engineering Explorer (SELENE) satellite, also known as Kayuga, is scheduled to be launched aboard an H-2A booster on Aug. 16 (Aug. 15, 8:30:48 p.m. EST) from the Yoshinobu Launch Complex at the Tanegashima Space Center, according to a June 13 announcement by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

      The local launch window was given as Aug. 17 through 23 or Sept. 13 through 21.
