[Via Satellite 03-09-2016] Kratos Defense and Security Solutions’ RT Logic subsidiary has received a new task order valued at $11.2 million for satellite and communication system products, hardware and equipment from an unnamed U.S. government agency. This is the third task order against a $49 million firm, fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity  (IDIQ) single contract award to the company announced last year. The first two delivery orders made to Kratos under the contract in 2015 totaled more than $8 million.  Due to customer-related and other considerations, no additional information will be provided concerning this contract award.

“The technologies supplied in these task orders include Kratos’ Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) products, such as Monics, the industry’s leading carrier management system, as well as tailored solutions that support the next-generation of wideband digital satcom payloads that are the future of satcom,” said John Monahan, president of RT Logic.
