[Via Satellite 05-05-2015] BT has partnered with AsiaSat to deliver BBC World Service Asia’s feed of 33 radio channels across Asia and Australasia. The channels, which carry content in 21 different languages, are being distributed from the AsiaSat 5 satellite in C band at 100 degrees east. From there, the channels are transmitted to BBC’s short and medium wave transmitter sites, as well as to FM partners and re-broadcasters in these regions.

“BBC’s commencement of service has significantly expanded our portfolio of information and entertainment services on AsiaSat 5,” said William Wade, president and CEO of AsiaSat.
