[Via Satellite 04-01-2015] Driven by the growth of Direct-to-Home (DTH), Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and Over-The-Top (OTT) video in the Middle East and Africa, SkyVision Global Networks has started offering broadcast services and engineering solutions to its product portfolio. The company will use its global Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network and teleport network to deliver video services such as contribution, distribution, turnaround and occasional use.

SkyVision also launched a series of engineering solutions for satellite operators including Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C), satellite collocations and hosting services. With this enhanced offering, the company added Eyal Maimon as its new broadcast and engineering solutions director to oversee the new broadcast products.

“SkyVision’s dominance in delivering corporate-grade services in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, the U.S. and Asia, backed by its vast footprint through multiple satellites and [Points of Presence] PoPs, enables it to act as an established broadcasting arm to the region,” said Maimon.
