Honeywell Becomes Inmarsat Government Aeronautical Service Provider

[Via Satellite 03-10-2015] Inmarsat Government has announced a new agreement to make Honeywell the service provider to the U.S. government aeronautical market for the Global Xpress constellation network. Under the new agreement, Honeywell will provide the terminal hardware enabling aircraft connectivity to Inmarsat’s Global Xpress constellation network.

Inmarsat’s new agreement with Honeywell expands the aerospace manufacturer’s existing business providing the terminal hardware that enables business and commercial aircraft connectivity to the Inmarsat satellite network. The Global Xpress fleet of Inmarsat-5 (I-5) satellites is on schedule to enter service during the second half of 2015.
