SES to Deliver Setanta Sports HD Channels

[Via Satellite 10-08-2014] International sports broadcaster Setanta Sports has selected the SES’ Astra 5B satellite at the 31.5 degrees east orbital position to broadcast two sports channels in High Definition (HD) to 13 countries in the Central Asian region. The countries served under this partnership will be Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Setanta Sports and Setanta Sports+ — now available on major cable, Direct to Home (DTH) and IPTV platforms within the region — will broadcast high profile, live events such as the European and World Cup Qualifiers, Capital One Cup, NHL, UFC and Formula 1.
