[Via Satellite 05-19-2014] Technicolor signed an agreement with Tata Sky, a Direct-to-Home (DTH) service provider in India, to provide 4K Set-Top Boxes (STBs) in a mass-volume order starting in early 2015. The order is part of a long-standing relationship with Tata Sky starting in 2005 and builds on Technicolor’s strategy to deliver a content experience of Hollywood-grade image quality to customers.

“With the promise of an unparalleled immersive viewing experience and the predicted rapid growth of the 4K market, this agreement is a valuable strategic business opportunity for Technicolor and our long-term partner, Tata Sky,” said Michel Rahier, president of connected home division at Technicolor.
