[Via Satellite 04-24-2014] Kazteleradio has chosen Hughes’ HX System for monitoring and controlling Kazakhstan’s national Second Generation Terrestrial Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB T2) television network. The solution includes more than 800 HX260 mesh terminals, which will provide voice and data connectivity to monitor and control all transmissions.

“The Hughes HX solution provides us with satellite channels to gather information on operations of the digital broadcast network with 827 sites. This solution has the best possible space segment efficiency while also enabling a number of important value-added services among our regional offices, such as video conferencing,” said Abai Kadraliev, chairman of the board of Kazteleradio.

Two HX gateways will operate in a geographically redundant mode, and HX260 mesh broadband terminals will be configured at every tower location.
