[Via Satellite 04-10-2014] MediaCorp has partnered with Envivio to deploy Envivio Muse encoders for its Toggle service to deliver Over-The-Top (OTT) television to viewers in Singapore. Envivio and Village Island collaborated to install the system, which includes Envivio transcoding and packaging and a Village Island downlink reception system.

The Envivio Muse encoders are used to transmit multiple profiles per channel in Apple HTTP Live Streaming and Microsoft Smooth Streaming. MediaCorp also uses the Envivio Guru network management system for live and on-demand multiscreen functions.

“For the downlink of 20 DVB-S2 live channels with redundancy, we quickly realized how the combination of Envivio and Sencore product quality, with Village Island’s optimum support, could help us achieve a perfect installation,” said Seow Yoke Kong, vice president, technology services of Toggle, MediaCorp.
