[Via Satellite 03-05-2014] Entropic has appointed Vahid Manian to senior vice president of the company’s global engineering and operations division. Under this role, Manian will be responsible for Entropic’s global engineering and operations organizations including hardware and software product development, technical operations, quality and supply management.

Michael Farese will assume the role of CTO, where he will help guide the company’s technology and platform architecture roadmaps, as well as collaborate with academic and industry standards to address the connected home entertainment market.

Manian joined Entropic in 2012 as the senior vice president of global operations, and has expanded the company’s global operations organizations. He implemented manufacturing cost reduction and long-range capacity planning strategies that have positively impacted gross margins and inventory turns.

Farese joined in 2010 as the SVP of global engineering and operations, where he developed and introduced Entropic’s Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) 2.0 system solution, the industry’s first digital Channel Stacking Switch (CSS), Entropic’s first integrated System-on-a-Chip (SoC) and built a global software team.
