GS Group Presents Indonesian Broadcasting Project to Russian and Indonesian Governments

[Via Satellite 03-03-2014] GS Group presented a new DTH broadcasting project for Indonesia at Jakarta, the IX inter-governmental commission on trade, economic and technical cooperation. Nikolay Maystrenko, head of the business development unit for the department for foreign broadcasting projects at GS Group, spoke to Dmitry Rogozin, deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Hatta Radjasa, minister and coordinator on economic issues of Indonesia about the launch of this satellite broadcasting project.

GS Group has offered Indonesia its integrated warning system based on technology that allows 100 percent of the population to receive uninterrupted emergency messages, even with no electricity, a common occurrence in a region threatened by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and floods.

After the meeting, the Russian government officially recommended GS Group as the company to implement joint projects with the Republic of Indonesia, including the launch of the first national broadcasting operator on the territory of the country, as well as installation of emergency warning system using satellite broadcasting.
