[Via Satellite 10-31-13] Astrium has entered into a partnership agreement with IHS to deliver satellite imagery and services for intelligence analysis and reporting. The partnership will enable IHS to meet demand for fused intelligence sources to tap easily accessed information. Invariably, geospatial data plays a critical role in developing intelligence, formulating strategic policy and driving operational interventions.

Astrium’s offering has been specifically developed to support the high currency requirements of the GEOINT community, including the challenges faced by military and intelligence agencies.

Under the agreement, Astrium Services will provide newly acquired imagery from its Pléiades, SPOT and TerraSAR X satellites for use as primary sources and fusion with open source information, for actionable intelligence. It will also provide access to the GO Monitor service, which delivers reliable surveillance and change information anywhere on Earth.
