NASA Selects Space Dynamics Laboratory for Climate Mission Support

      [Satellite TODAY 08-16-10] The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) at Utah State University received a contract to provide support for NASA‘s Climate Absolute Radiance and Refractivity Observatory Mission, the SDL announced Aug. 13.
           SDL will provide instrument systems expertise and capabilities for conducting measurements in the infrared spectrum, including systems engineering, design of infrared measurement systems, analysis and modeling, and instrument systems development and characterization. The mission will provide climate data traceable to internationally-recognized measurement standards that will enable scientists to compile more accurate climate information than ever before. Other members of the integrated product team include Harvard University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis.
           The SDL contract is valued at up $9.6 million over five years.
