Astrium Services CEO Hails EDA Deal

By Staff Writer | February 25, 2010

[Satellite TODAY 02-25-10] Eric Béranger, CEO of Astrium Services hailed a deal the company did earlier this year with the European Defence Agency (EDA). In early January, Astrium Services was awarded a contract by the EDA for a new preparatory study aimed at coordinating the future military communication needs of the European Union.
Béranger said of this deal to Satellite Today, “Strategically, this deal is very important for us, because this is a new partnership we are establishing. This is a kind of recognition of what we bring in terms of future co-operation. The deal will not bring in a huge amount of revenue. This is at the stage, is about mapping out various needs.”
