[Satellite TODAY 01-28-10] Integral Systems subsidiary RT Logic has been awarded a contract by Honeywell Technologies Solutions to supply narrowband and wideband modems for NASA’s Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) User Services Subsystem Replacement (USSR) program, Integral announced Jan. 27.
RT Logic will supply Telemetrix 400XRs for the narrowband modem and test equipment and Telemetrix 1200HDRs for the wideband demodulator and test modulator.  Honeywell expects to complete the development and on-site integration by March 2011.
The RT Logic modems will aim to help modernize the NASA space network as part of the USSR program, established to address obsolescence issues and to enable support of new enhanced services required by NASA’s next generation human spaceflight program, Constellation. USSR requires both low rate and high rate modems and their associated test equipment to support both legacy and future space network users.
