Orbital to Build NASA X-ray Satellite

[Satellite Today 07-10-09] Orbital Sciences Corp. won a $40 million contract to build a science satellite for NASA, the company announced July 9.
    Orbital Sciences will design, manufacture, integrate and test the low-orbit satellite, which will study X-rays in space. The satellite is scheduled to launch by 2015.
    The contract was awarded to Orbital under NASA’s Small Explorer series space science satellites. Orbital is currently developing the NuStar spacecraft for NASA under the program, scheduled for launch in 2011.
