AGI, Integral Systems Look to Capitalize on Space Situational Awareness

      [Satellite Today 04-02-09] Analytical Graphics Inc. (AGI), a commercial space and defense intelligence software provide, has formed a strategic partnership with Integral Systems in an effort to provide space situational awareness products to government customers, the companies announced April 1.
          AGI and Integral Systems’ will allow government customers to leverage off-the-shelf products and practices from both companies in an effort to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
          The strategic partnership comes shortly after a collision between an Iridium satellite and a non-functioning Russian military Cosmos spacecraft in February, which sparked a wave of media coverage and interest in space situational awareness.
          In an exclusive interview with Satellite Today, Integral Systems CEO John Higginbotham expressed his opinion on the industry-wide implications of the collision and laid out possible developments for international government action.
