Satlynx Boosts Position in Poland

      [Satellite Today 02-13-09] Satlynx has signed two new contracts with the Polish government, the company announced Feb. 12.
          The first deal, worth 6.7 million euros ($8.65 million), is with the Polish government’s systems partner WZL to provide a range of satellite equipment. Satlynx and WZL have been cooperating on a number of different initiatives for some years and Satlynx says this new contract for satellite antenna equipment and services is a “significant milestone” in their relationship.
          Satlynx and GE have also entered an offset agreement with the Polish Ministry of Economic Affairs as a commitment to invest in Polish business, goods and services to a value of 17 million euros ($21.95 million) over the next five years.
