Orbcomm Inks GPS Deal

Orbcomm, a Dulles, Va.-based satellite communications company, has signed an agreement to provide data communication services for the GPS products with GEOTrac Systems is developing for oil and transportation companies to monitor their vehicles and equipment. Financial terms were not disclosed.

GEOTrac’s GPS products will use Orbcomm’s low-earth orbit satellite network to help companies throughout Canada monitor their vehicles and equipment. GEOTrac plans to roll out these GPS capabilities, which use the Orbcomm satellite network, at several test sites this month.
