Intelsat Transmits All-Star Game

      Major League Baseball International, which coordinates network planning and broadcast of Major League Baseball (MLB) games, has chosen Intelsat to broadcast the July 15 All- Star Game to viewers worldwide. Using four Intelsat satellites – the 901 at 342º East, 707 at 359º East, 805 at 304.5º East and 701 at 180º East – the game will be broadcast from North America to Europe, Latin America and Asia, respectively. Intelsat picks up the signals via its video switch interconnects, transports them by fiber to its Riverside and Fuchsstadt teleports, and uplinks the game to Intelsat satellites for transmission to receivers around the world.
