NASN Ready For Sky Launch

NASN (North American Sports Network) will be available to Sky Digital 6.3 million homes in early December. The channel will be delivered via GlobeCast’s Eurobird platform. NASN is a 24/7 channel dedicated to U.S. and Canadian sports. The channel is specifically targeting the 500,000 North American expatriates living in the UK and Ireland. Subscription to the channel will cost GBP9.99 (14.99 euros) a month. There will be a minimum of 15 live professional and collegiate games a week (American football, basketball, baseball and ice hockey) on the channel.
GlobeCast is providing NASN with 24/7 end-to-end channel distribution. Vulcan European Media Holdings and Setanta Sport are the backers behind the channel.
